DATUMS

With the removal of the selective availability on GPS, there is an expectation of much higher accuracy in mapping systems.

This has meant a more serious look into which of the many lat/long datums available should be used for APRS.

All maps on this site are now set up using the "WGS 84" or "World Geodetic System 1984" datum, which seems to have widest acceptance.
