ZL1AMW's UIView Resource

Where can you find UI-View activity in New Zealand?
The New Zealand APRS/UI-View operation is very geographically disbursed, and uses many existing packet radio networks.
In most locations there are nodes that provide some form of interconnection
between the different frequencies.
At Technology Convention 2001 (in Whangarei) it was agreed that all ZL operators will strive towards a specific APRS traffic network on 144.575 MHz simplex. It is therefore best if any new activity, and any new APRS nodes are set up on that frequency.
Known areas of operation are:
1 - Whangarei and
area - 145.425 Whangarei Data Repeater (-600 split) shared.

4 - Eastern Waikato area - 145.400 Kaimai Data Repeater (-600 split) - shared with other packet activity.
5 - Hamilton and near area - 144.575 simplex - National APRS frequency
6 - Waikato area - 144.65 simplex - shared - via OTO digipeater should be added to your path for wider range.

Note: - Mobiles should use a path setting of RELAY,WIDE5-5 or higher number.
- Mobiles in areas 6,7 & 8 above need to add the local digipeater in place of the RELAY, then add a WIDE
- e.g. for area 7, enter TPO,OTO,WIDE,WIDE5-5
